400A LV Barrier

The insulated barrier is a safety barrier used on the overhead network of the West Australian supply authority during switching and interconnection movements. The barrier is installed by hand or Hotstick onto the contact blade of a 400A Low Voltage isolator (disconnector) to prevent contact of the male and female contacts due to any inadvertent closure.

They are installed by West Australian supply authority personnel and electrical contractors under contract to the supply authority during operations where the regulations state their use.
